Currency: The Euro is the currency in Seborga usual. It has not always been so when in the seventeenth century, the Principality struck its own currency. The principality of Seborga is located on the Italian Riviera, on the heights of Bordighera. Coming from Nice or Genoa by the Autostrada dei Fiori (A10/E80 Highway) exit at Bordighera. After paying the toll, go to the roundabout and take 3rd exit towards Seborga.

After 8 kms from a small mountain road which saves beautiful views on the Riviera, you will appear before the gatehouse white and blue border of the Principality.

For a total immersion into the world of Seborga, you can choose to dine at the restaurant "Il Principe". You will not encounter any difficulty to find the entrance to the village on the main square that serves as the main car park. WHAT TO SEE

HISTORY OF THE PRINCIPALITY 

The history of the Principality of Seborga back to the year 954, when the Count of Ventimiglia granting the fief of Seborga in the ecclesiastical community of the Islands of Lerins, who make a principality. It was sold 775 years later, in January 1729, Victor Amadeus II of Sardinia who think re-attach to the County of Nice which Seborga became an enclave. Para una inmersión total en el mundo de Seborga, puede optar por cenar en el restaurante "Il Principe". Usted no encontrará ninguna dificultad para encontrar la entrada del pueblo en la plaza principal que sirve como aparcamiento principal. Walter Ferrari, el dueño (a la izquierda en la foto), había acumulado hasta el año 2010 su lugar detrás de la estufa con la oficina del Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores del Principado. La decoración, el estilo puede ser descrito como "Giorgio 1", es más bien tibia, si no es contemporáneo.

HISTORIA DEL PRINCIPADO

INSTITUCIONES

Menegatto Marcelo, nacido en 1979 en Lecco, Italia, se convirtió en 25 de abril 2010 Su Alteza Serenísima Marcello 1, Príncipe de Seborga.
Divide su tiempo entre Lugano, Suiza, donde dirige el negocio familiar de textiles, y Seborga. Además de su pasión por los caballos, que compite en lancha internacional junto con el conductor Guido Cappellini, diez veces campeón del mundo en alta mar. El mantenimiento de relaciones amistosas con SAS Alberto II de Mónaco.

El Consejo de la Corona, que es el órgano ejecutivo del Principado, es constuitué por el príncipe y sus ministros 9. 5 de ellos son elegidos por el pueblo de Seborga, y otros cuatro son nombrados por Su Alteza Serenísima:

El Principado tiene una fuerte representación diplomática y consular:

- En Luxemburgo: un Consulado
- Países Bajos: 1 Consulado

- Indonesia: un Consulado

Los habitantes del Principado tienen la doble nacionalidad italiana y Seborgan. Ellos pagan sus impuestos al gobierno de Silvio Berlusconi. Judicial y las instituciones sociales, así como todas las leyes italianas sobre el pequeño territorio del Principado y sus ciudadanos. Tienen el derecho, pero no la obligación, a colocar en su licencia de auto placas Seborgan además de los de la provincia de Imperia, Italia, que son los únicos reconocidos fuera del Principado.
